Bouncy Seat, Swing or Both?

I'm currently 37 weeks along and need to finish up getting ready for baby. do you recommend a bouncy seat, a swing or both? I already have a bouncy seat, but I'm wondering if I should get a swing too. What would you moms with babys already suggest? I would get a travel swing if I was to get one. I was thinking of the Boppy travel swing.
both!! we got a swing, although my son only used it for about a month or 2 if he woke up in the middle of the night we would put him in his swing and he would fall back asleep.. my son is now 5 1./2 months old and he still uses his boiuncy seat, mainly only for naps
I would get both for sure!!!
My daughter likes both!!
Bouncy seat! my son has used his swing maybe 3 times. But every baby is different.
We have both. my baby is due in 3 days so I don't know if he will like them both or not, but I wanted to have alot of things to keep him entertained.
If you had to choose one, I would go with the swing. I had a travel swing also (Graco) — i LOVED it. it was only $50. I'm not sure what I would have done without it. we used it mostly at home but I did take it with me places when I knew my daughter would want to nap.
you should defiantly get a swing! it can do wonders as the baby gets a bit older. my niece didn't have one when she came so i bought her one and she defiantly loved it
We have both. I have the 3-1 bouncy seat/swing from Graco I think. the seat comes off the swing … works great if you are trying to conserve space.
swing is absolutely a must! my baby naps in it sometimes during the day because he doesn't sleep well in bed when it's daylight
Both.
As someone who works in an infant nursery every sunday with about 6 babies a week, we have jumperoos, bouncy-seats, and swings.
They are soothing and stimulating in their own unique way.
There are babies who despise the bouncy seats who love the swing, and vice versa. it can even depend on what they're in the mood for at that moment.
I got a bouncy seat and a swing for this baby.
But I almost got a "glider" instead of a swing.
Graco makes one for BRU, it's super cute, and it's VERY compact, and accomplishes the same thing as a swing.
I highly recommend it.
both we got both and our son used the swing till this day but the bouncy seat is good for tummy aches the vibrations relieves him and hes goes straight to sleep
i have both and use them a TON. i am always home on my own all the time when hubby is at work and i need to put him down to get things done. bouncy chair i can take to every room with me. swing i put in the living room cause in there he can see the whole house cause its open and i can see him even when i am over in the kitchen. the swinging motion is comforting to him and it plays music as well and it calms him and he loves it. trust me i love them both to be able to get things done. thats what i recommend from personal experience.
If you can afford it, get both..
i only used the bouncy seat for my daughter..wished i'd gotten the swing too but we were in a tight budget..
goodluck and congratulations!!!
I have both and use them. I have the boppy bouncy seat upstairs and the bobby travel swing downstairs. the only thing I found is that because it's a travel swing it is lower to the ground then many so my dogs sometimes stick their face in my daughters face but she doesn't mind. I prefer the smaller swing though – it doesn't take up so much room as the full size swings.
you need both. the cradle swings are really nice if you can get one. congrats!!!
i have both my advice is dont buy to much stuff yourself i got given SO many things when my daughter was born… including a bouncy seat and swing!!!
